Well it's about time I started posting some projects up here.....I'm a new one at blogging, but I've loved reading many of the knitting blogs I've bookmarked. I've been so busy in the garden and learning how to take pictures again with a manual camera. I would take a few pictures and something wouldn't look right so back to the guide book. It's a bit intimidating how some blogs are put together so well, hence the delay in getting this going.

So I'll begin with the project that I'm presently trying to finish and that is, you guessed it, a pair of socks. The pattern has been easy to follow and I've been able to pack it along wherever I go and do some knitting.

The pattern is from Interweave Knits Winter 2004, Retro Rib Socks by Evelyn A. Clark. I'm using Regia sock wool, Surprise Color. The pattern says to use 2.75mm (dpn), but I've dropped that down to 2.5mm (dpn). I've found that the change in needle size made for a tighter fitting sock which is okay.

These are the clogs that got the socks started. They were calling out for bright red ones. One sock done one more to go.














Purple Alyssum are waiting be planted. The weather here in Northern Alberta is finally warming up. I've been buying bedding plants and putting them in my garage until the danger of frost is gone.
